HUSANI S. OAKLEY
A former Netflix exec, Husani spent over two decades as one of advertising’s leading creatives, building award-winning work for ESPN, Budweiser, and Nike.
Named in Adweek’s 2020 Creative 100, an annual celebration of the “most fascinating creative professionals,” and a 2021 Campaign US 40 Over 40 honoree, Husani’s work has been recognized by One Show, AICP, Webby Awards, and the FWA. He was invited by the Obama Administration to attend both the White House LGBTQ Tech Innovation Briefing and the White House Summit on Building the Workforce of Tomorrow.
Off-Broadway credits include Camp Morning Wood (producer) and Static REM (producer). Web series credits include “Blacktor” (writer, director, editor), television writing credits include “Twelve Miles West - Pilot.”
SONYA D. WILLIAMS
Sonya D. Williams is a Moscow-born writer, social worker and artist. She immigrated to the United States with her family in 1994 with refugee status to flee anti-semitism, a journey that would become a major influence over her later years.
Armed with a Masters in Social Work, Sonya's clinical focus is trauma, anxiety and mood disorders, with a special interest in refugee/immigrant populations, and utilizing expressive arts interventions.
Sonya has published several works in poetry and speculative fiction. In addition to her novels “Mirrors” (2019) and “Divide Theory” (2020) Sonya recently published a short story entitled “Dreamsicle Skies” in the 2024 anthology entitled “Somniscope.”
